The LIT for BLACK KIDS Author Directory is open to Black indie authors that write children's literature, from picture books to young adult novels, that contain a black character as the protagonist.

The LIT for BLACK KIDS Illustrator Directory is open to Black illustrators that specialize in the creation of Black characters for children's literature, from picture books to young adult novels, and who has previously illustrated for a book that contains a black character as the protagonist.

For $10, your image and author bio will be available to all that browse the directory. This information will help our customers understand what type of books you write and what motivates you to write. Check out the existing author and illustrator directories to see what this looks like.

Links to your most pertinent social platforms, including your website will be added to your record in the directory. This means that interested parties do not have do additional searches to find out how to contact you or browse your social profiles.

The network. You become part of the Lit for Black Kids community and can more easily connect with other authors that have similar goals as you. One never knows what can result from a simple introduction.
